EN The world is heating up. Not only the climate, but also the pace at which we live. Information, expectations, and stimuli are piling up. This work, KoelStoel (Cool Chair), invites you to cool down, literally and figuratively. The chair represents the tension between warming up and cooling down. Between moving forward and standing still. Sometimes the most radical action is simply to sit down and cool off.

NL De wereld warmt op. Niet alleen het klimaat, maar ook het tempo waarin we leven. Informatie, verwachtingen en prikkels stapelen zich op. Dit werk KoelStoel nodigt uit om even af te koelen, letterlijk en figuurlijk. De stoel verbeeldt die spanning tussen opwarming en verkoeling. Tussen doorgaan en stilstaan. Soms is de meest radicale handeling simpelweg: gaan zitten en afkoelen.
