Art in diverting connectivity.
Today's obviousness may be very illogical tomorrow. We adjust our ways of behaving in search of connectedness in space, time and language. I am an artist and storyteller. My starting point is 'connection'. How do we deal with change, and how do we relate to each other as a result? From these questions come concepts for visual work; installations, photography and mixed-media projects. In my early years, I made visual reports. Then I started mixing techniques. I explore new applications. As a result, everyday objects can lose their familiar appearance.
Kunst in omleidend verbinden.
De vanzelfsprekendheid van vandaag is morgen misschien heel onlogisch. We passen ons gedrag aan op zoek naar verbondenheid in ruimte, tijd en taal. Ik ben kunstenaar. Mijn startpunt is 'verbinding'. Hoe gaan we om met veranderingen, en hoe verhouden we ons hierdoor tot elkaar? Vanuit deze vragen ontstaan concepten voor verhalen en visueel werk; installaties, fotografie en mixed-media projecten. In mijn beginjaren maakte ik beeldreportages. Daarna ben ik technieken gaan mengen. Ik onderzoek nieuwe toepassingen. Hierdoor kunnen alledaagse objecten de vertrouwde verschijningsvorm verliezen.
